Situations are becoming tougher every day for bloggers. Blogs are increasing each day so as bloggers. So competition is increasing. But with time, sites like payperpost increased. Unfortunately, in the time of economic slowdown, advertisers disappeared from market, and that showed how economic slowdown impacted online business world.
I am blogging since January 2006. I have seen the market when it was at top, and now when the market is at bottom. I do not see any great upward movement here onwards. Reason is simple, number of bloggers are huge so as the competition among them. Availability of blogs pulling down the price of reviews, commissions, and to beat competition bloggers are decreasing the price too. They are ready to work for any price. Still I believe, good quality does not come with decreased prices. Today I saw another sign, which is because I am making the post. Sponsoredreview which used to pay 65% of the review price to blogger, have made it 50% now. Reason: I believe they are getting less number of advertisers, so their revenue is decreasing, probably advertisers are offering lower price too, and that is also one possible reason that they are not earning enough revenue. I do not know actual reason, but, as they are taking equal bite of it, so I think they have pressure on margin, that is why they have increased their percentage.
Most possibly number of professional blogger will not increase exponentially. As the income is not so attractive now, so people are losing interest from online earning and making money from blog. May be many have started moving out of it. Now people are concentrating more on SEO. It is all about coming on top 10 in search results. All the traffic goes there, so all the bets stay there. SEO is not cheap. It is all about quality. As it is not cheap, people with personal blogs are not being able to take part into this, people with internet business are using it though.
