Ebay seller selling crap

Few days back I bought a webcam from ebay power seller, and I made a post earlier just after I got the delivery, the webcam was broken, no it was working fine, but one of its stand is broken. I tried to contact him by email, yes he responded, he gave me a contact number too, there was no one to pick up the phone, so I reached for him again. And what I got is nothing, he dint respond, and you know what, I strongly feel like, you should always go to your local shop and do not buy from internet, at least from ebay, this guy had a 7 days warranty and all , it never worked, he simply stopped replying to me. I could do nothing, I have asked for ebays help, not sure if they will do anything.
