Huh!!! Past 4 or 5 days were nice, yes those were. May be for every Bengali living at kolkata these 4 days were pretty good, as these were days for our greatest festival Durga Puja. Not days of worshiping the Goddess but for some fashion show on roads ( as we pull out our best dresses these days to wear) some flirting ( be u r engaged or not, most of us do not miss the opportunity to stare at those beauties) and of course friends and food are some added attraction.
For me, time with friends is important than the food, and yes these days I had it lot. The pujastarts on Sosti and ends on Dasami with the bisorjon of the idol , when we drop the idol in Ganges and start counting days for next year.
Today is dasami, the last day for puja, and tomorrow is my office, I am not unhappy that I will be back to my boring life again, may be I am hopeful that Durga will again fulfill my wishes and those cannot be fulfilled if don't go back to my original life.
